14''barreled 12ga pumps,semi and full auto assult rifles,supressed 7.62x51 semis.Night vison equipment.
For those debating on which weapon to buy or to buy next, make your best educated guess and get Something and as much Ammo as you can afford.
Pistol calibre carbines close range.
AK-47,AR-15,Mini-14 -30 and similar rifles and carbines. For our purposes a carbine is short or very short barrel, best in house or house to house or heavy wooded or brush country shooting.
Rifle med to long barrel, more velocity better sighting radius, sometimes awkward in heavy cover, med to long range shooting.
Pistol caliber pros are they share same ammo as your side arm, cons usually much weaker than rifle calibers.
For most something in common military caliber may be good option..223,308.same as 5.56-7.62x51.Eastern bloc Ak-47 shoots 7.62x39 Ak-74 shoots 5.45x39.Mosin-nagants shoot 7.62x59r A very powerfull round at least equal to U.S. 30-06 this round is shared with Dragunov's.
Some of newer versions and clones can be had in U.S. calibers example AK in 223,AK in 7.62x54r,AR in 7.62x39.
MY call would be at least .223 for close to med range.
If you look around Ammo can be bought in bulk cheaper.
A quick caliber history lesson for those starting out is originally light machine guns, machine pistols, fired pistol rounds 9mm,.45acp,etc.
Battle rifles like Enfield,Nagants,Springfield,Mausers etc fired larger full size rounds like 7mm,8mm,30cal which includes rounds like 30-06,303british,7.62x54r.later assult rifles fired an intermediate round bigger than pistol smaller than rifle.Usuall range is somwhere between 300-500yds max Aprx.
A couple of places to start searching for ammo and magazines to feed them might include places like Cheaper than dirt,THE Sportsmans guide,THE Armoury, there are many others but I can personally vouch for all 3 of these no problems to date.
Some mil surplus ammo is listed as penatrator or steel core this will go through hard objects better but does not expand on soft objects.Anyway buy Something and ammo a.s.a.p.I'm not sure what but something IS going on.

What do you think? Right on or not?

Seems to be a fine line between paranoia and fact these days. I was watching some videos by Gerald Celente to other day and this is shaping up to be a defining year in American history.
ReplyDeleteI'll get the links for the vids later and post em here . Great post here China ! Time to make breakfast, 4 kids are yelling at me haha.

Thanks R3V,ya it seems much is going on.I think I shall be holding off on any new purchases and topping off ammo on all that I presently own I think seven dif calibers at the moment.one in hand vs two in bush?
ReplyDeleteHey R3V,as you know I blew a good chunk on Dragunov knockoff PSL 54.For a few hundred more I could've got M1-a but I'm impatient.Knowing you and Threeper have experience with M-14,do you have experience with off the shelf M1-a I dont have the money for top end model.Any idea on accuracy of base models.ITs more of an always wanted,I know a good bolt is as or more accurate but curious.

I actually own a SPRINGFIELD M1-A civilian-ized, semi auto version of the M-14 and it is accurate and one of the most beautiful things a man's eyes could see. You can't go wrong unless you end up with a piece of shit aftermarket M1-A from some chinese company. I got mine from CMP (civilian marksmanship program)a dozen or more years ago .
ReplyDeleteAside from that China, I wanted to address an issue that bugs the FUCK out of me. You know as well as I that this is coming. I read tons of blogs with folks puffing hot air about how they will stand up and how they will never let up or give in until they are dead. I read this over at Sipsey street irregulars, it was a response comment and it made me want EVERYONE to read it as it was profound, here it is ;

Battlefield pickups should keep the logistics in our favor.
Of course, the thing is we have to fight back. You know, not do that thing we did at Waco or Ruby Ridge. You know that thing, that thing where we just watched and were grateful it wasn't us under the massed guns. It does us no good to outnumber them my orders of magnitude if we continue to give them numerical tactical advantage at places and times of their choosing.
It is much easier to kill or imprison a million people one at a time, than it is to kill or imprison a million people, who resist, at one time.
We had better figure out pretty damn quick whether we mean it or not. I will not view it as a compliment to have it said of me, "Well he was certainly loud about not submitting, until we showed up". I would much prefer
they say, "That was one hard sonofabitch to kill, and he made us pay dearly to do it. Not sure we can afford many more like him."
We don't have a lot of time, people. The choice seems to be between "loud" or "serious".
Think about this folks, this is NOT A FUCKING JOKE. Puff smoke all ya want but, when they kick in your door, what the fuck will YOU DO ? This issue has been plaguing me for years. SHIT OR GET OFF THE POT people, talk is cheap.
(this is not aimed at anyone in particular, this is a generalized statement)

I know what you are saying ya its been on my mind too.You know once they are ready people are going to be arrested or just dissapear. We now have interpol in the loop, not bound by socalled laws of U.S.,new terriost laws they can hold you as long as they want incommunicado, read forever. Now that WE people who upphold the Constituion are labeled terriost, what comes next? I(we) need to put serious thought into this!!SOON!!!

BTW, I really do sleep with guns, pump 12ga,2 9mm's,in reach if I can get to em Ak and mini.ANYONE who kicks in my door, assuming I can reach something will be fired on.I will assume it is terriost or armed burgulars. And defend my self.

The point this "straightarrow" was trying to make is , what happens if another Ruby Ridge or WACO happens? Will we sit and watch it on the news or will we head over to help the American Citizens defend their lives and property ?
ReplyDeleteI KNOW with no uncertainty, that I am capable of taking another humans' life and when threatened, will do so with extreme prejudice. There are many preppers and patriots who have never found the need to do this and have never been in combat before. The question is,"Can and WILL you do this when the time comes?"
I realize that this post may sound asinine of me but, the question does not require a response to me, rather everyone needs to get with themselves and decide if they are truly serious about defending Liberty and Freedom at the cost of killing another person or dying themselves .
The time is now to get right with yourself, get your mind in that place it needs to be. The harsh truth is , you may end up having to make a choice, them or you. You will have to decide whether you are going to hide away and let others' do the killing and fighting for you or will you join in the fight and give your all for the cause of A FREE AMERICA.
As I said, I am just a man, I don't need to read anyone's justification , you will have to make peace with yourself and decide, very soon where you stand. This is the worst part of the whole thing, deciding where you stand and what you are willing to do to take back our country. I felt that now was a good time to bring this up and Mr. straightarrow brought it to lay terms.
Food for thought.

VERY true.I have heard a lot of strong talk, but as we all know a lot of times the loudest guy in the room shuts up when ya get in his face.I am not a bad ass,but I never have liked bully's of anykind and when pushed have shut up a couple. No Bro your post is timely, something we all need to think on pretty hard.I know some will sit things out.BUT I know in my heart there are many good men out there who will stand up.

In light of recent events , I began to think about conducting operations and all that is involved with it. One of the most important issues with conducting field ops is COMMUNICATION.
ReplyDeleteComms is a huge part of utilizing a team and preserving your survivability in combat. Without communication, you are extremely limited to what your team can accomplish. Does anyone have any ideas they can put out there as far as civilian available comm devices?
Me & 3% used high quality 2 way radios with earbuds installed. This eliminates the normal squawk of the radios when you key in to talk, just like computer speakers that have a headphone jack. It cuts off the speakers while enabling the earbuds or headset.
I will do some research on these and place some reasonably priced options for regular folks who might be interested. I'll put links to these as I find them, along with prices.
Anybody have other ideas or have found something else like voicemitters for civilian sale, please put links here. This just popped into my head as I began rummaging through my mind about potential needs for combat ops.
As I said, comms are critical to a teams functionality, success and survivability and should be addressed .
More food for thought from an extremely concerned former ranger.

I was stationed overseas for both Ruby Ridge (1992) and Waco (1993 - and was overseas for most of the 90s, in fact), and didn't get a lot of news about it at the time. However, my impression was that, at that time, the general public didn't know what was going on and it appeared the law was going after genuine bad guys (esp. at Waco, with the child molesting thing). It wasn't until later that the facts came out, right?
ReplyDeleteSo if something like that happens again, how would regular folks know in a timely manner if they are genuine bad guys, or just fall guys?
Something to be very careful about.
------
On radios... a few years ago I got myself, my brothers, and my Parents pairs of Midland GMRS/FRS radios that came with earpieces. Advertised range under perfect conditions is 20+ miles, but tested in real conditions back home was just under 2 miles of acceptable comms. Most of these radios use rechargeable batteries and use a base station to charge, but can also use AA batteries.
I haven't used them but MURS radios are said to be as good as or better than GMRS.
