If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”

America guns,history.

After the war was over someone asked the japanese leader why they didnt attack America directly. He said they felt it would be foolhardy, what with a gun behind every rock and tree.THAT in its self should be an arguement against gun control.Ok back to it.There are still guns behind every rock and tree, and the spirit of freemen is growwing stronger by the day.Always they forget Americans when their freedoms are threatened become stronger and angrier. For any country that would consider coming on our soil to assume role of conqueror, peacekeeper, occupier what ever it is you are being told God help you.In recent days there has been talk of Russian,korean,chinese,U.N. forces, someone has said there is a standing agreement with canada to send in peacekeepers. The president has called home one million troops, north com, for disaster and terriost protection is what your hearing now. However North Com was set up to quell civil unrest-disobediance.Why all the talk of unrest civil disturbance? We are going to atempt to help the average American be better propared in case something of this nature should happen. The minutemen were able to drop what they were doing and be in formation in one minute.things are not as they were in 1776 however we shall say in a timely manner.

  1. Good morning Chinasyndrome !

In a situation where a small force is up against a larger, more well equipped and more well trained force , there are few options available for the smaller force .

One time tested and proven effective tactic is to use H&I (harass & interdict)tactics . Most freedom fighters use guerrilla warfare as a means to keep the larger force involved in long, drawn out battles as well as mentally screwing with the enemy .

Once a unit has been harassed and constantly attacked whenever they attempt to take a break or are in the middle of setting up a temporary camp (for instance), it begins to take a toll on those units' morale .

Here is the popular thought :"The enemy advances, we retreat. The enemy camps, we harass. The enemy tires, we attack. The enemy retreats, we pursue."

This has proven emotional effects on the ones being harassed over time . They fear taking a piss because they never know when or where the attacks will come from and they are standing there with the wrong gun in their hands, if ya know what I mean ;-)

After long periods of time , this kind of H&I will wear the enemy down mentally and it filters it's way up through the ranks. Anyways , think about it and post your thoughts .

  2. Ok , what R3v is discussing is accurate to the best of my knowledge. The type of warfare he is discussing is based, in part on Harassment and ambush .

Believe it or not , the subject of ambush is very complicated. There are so many aspects of an ambush that can go wrong that it is mind boggling .

What I propose is each individual research and study up on ambush tactics and techniques. It is imperative to have several ways to go should 1 aspect of an ambush turn to shit .

It's kind of like backing up your files on a computer , should you not take that precaution and your system melts down , all is lost. If an ambush melts down , you die and all of your brothers do as well if you have no other options. Or you are captured, in which case I'd rather die.

Many of you may have played paintball in the woods. This is actually very good practice, depending on the tactics you use . I have played paintball against Seals and I was slaughtered mercilessly every time by way of ambush.

I learned early on the value of ambush as a very viable way of taking out small units and it instills intimidation in the minds of the enemy . They WILL think twice before using that trail next time, etc....

Always keep in mind that the best plans turn to shit with the first shot fired . You can have a fool proof battle plan and as soon as the first shot is fired , things change .

You must remain fluid in combat. You must remain flexible with your options and you must realize that even though the plan failed , a small unit or individual can STILL secure the objective. As long as you are able to have alternative options , you can still get the job done .

In order to do this , you are going to have to let go of your conventional thinking. You have to KNOW you can get it done . You have to believe in yourself and your brothers next to you that YOU WILL WIN, no questions asked.

Here is one way we were motivated or brainwashed , in the Corps:

This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

My rifle is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.

My rifle, without me is useless. Without my rifle, I am useless. I must fire my rifle true. I must shoot straighter than my enemy who is trying to kill me. I must shoot him before he shoots me. I will...

My rifle and myself know that what counts in this war is not the rounds we fire, the noise of our burst, nor the smoke we make. We know that it is the hits that count. We will hit...

My rifle is human, even as I, because it is my life. Thus I will learn it as a brother. I will learn its weaknesses, its strengths, its parts, its accessories, its sights, and its barrel. I will ever guard it against the ravages of weather and damage. I will keep my rifle clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready. We will be part of each other. We will...

Before God I swear this creed. My rifle and myself are the defenders of my country. We are the masters of our enemy. We are the saviors of my life.

So be it, until victory is America's and there is no enemy, but Peace!

  3. Takin second 10 min break of the day.Hey Rev exactly what I was figuring.I dont think the forces we are talking about should be confronting a major army force head on.Hit and run,or as recommended by Threeper from ambush.Sounds like great advice so far.Breaks up check in after work.

  4. Well, it is always possible to end up staring into the faces of an entire battalion but, the chance of that happening are slim unless you are looking for them .

What would most likely happen is, a squad may run into a patrol (3 to 7 men), in this case what I have outlined would be extremely effective.

Even if a patriot were to see a large force, they would most likely be splitting up into patrols so, wait until that happens and begin picking them off , 1 patrol at a time.

If this happens often enough , the future patrols will not be in a big hurry to do their sweep of the area for fear of an ambush or being sniped .

Sniping, that is 3%'s specialty so , I will leave that to him to discuss. None of this is desired but, it may happen and even if you have only read this info , you are 1 step ahead of someone who hasn't .

I need a beer. Talk to you guys later on .

  5. REV or 3% or any current military, what is modern combat load of ammo on a solider.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Modern "combat" load for current Marine/Soldier - Infantry

    *180 rounds 5.56mm ball ammunition
    *Frag grenade (1-5)
*64 ounces of water in two 1-quart canteens
*100 ounces of water in a camelback bladder
    *Night vision equipment
    *Iodine tablets

There is a lot more but, these are the basics from what I remember.

*Average fighting load weight approx 65 lbs. not including rifle, sidearm, knife, bayonet and the list goes on.
Todays warrior is wearing a shitload of body armor and trauma plates (steel or ballistic polycarbonate)
