If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”

Grid down crisis.

I was reading a post at Rawles.

http://www.survivalblog.com/2010/07/pseudo-currency_items_you_can.html

The dude sez if power is down for the weekend and credit swipe is out you can still use dollar bills,he reccomends $500 in cash.

Well China thinks this bullshit, for one can how can any self respecting prepper/survivalist not make it through a weekend? Two most all cash registers these days are electronic try to get gas or hit wallyworld while a storm has power out you are screwed.Pumps usually down too.

Storing large amounts of gas can be dangerous a couple of five gal cans should not be a problem for most.Don't fill em full leave room for expansion gas cans will swell on a hot day. This way if you have a medical emergency you can transport patient.

Other wise stay home use your preps if you have to and enjoy.Candle light, card games, reading, cooking on the grill,Hell wheres the problem?

  1. When Hurricane Ike came through the Ohio valley a couple years ago...after realizing the power was NOT coming back on anytime soon, we had a good time. Cooking over an open fire, reading books by oil lamp, listening to music on the crank-emergency radio. All in all, it wasn't a bad experience.
