Black Powder cannons for defense?

Letting my mind wander,I remember what Hippie said about his experience in Vietnam.He fought in the highlands in the late sixties.He said in the entire time he was there he never once saw a real NVA soldier.

His enemy was the Viet Cong they were poorly equipped,but masters of improvising.Several times they went up against black powder cannons,one of the guys with us laughed at this Hippie just shut up.Later I asked him about it.He said dude as primitive as it sounds it was horribly effective,nails,rocks,glass,small pieces of chain,anything they could find to stuff in it.He said you wouldn't believe what a piece of chain would do to a human body.

Granted no match for modern artillery.However I bet still effective as anti personnel weapon.

The Army improvised munitions handbook TM 31-210 shows how to make an improvised recoilless launcher,improvised grenade launcher.Along with a lot of other things that could be invaluable if one were to find oneself in the Viet Congs shoes or tire tread sandals.Parts of the manual are rather outdated,however parts are still very useful.

    I have always wanted to have some "heavier" weapons around in case of a major assault. But they seem so damned hard to come by and after buying them you wonder what you will do with them. But HE is the way to go for keeping people off your back.

    Hey Bro,yeah I have it up on Enemy of the State already.I watched it this A.M. Yes we are screwed.Food,Water,Guns,Ammo,Tools,Gold and silver if one can afford.Seeds to grow food.My advice if one needs big ticket items get now.Including medical or dental attention.We are slightly ahead of others we all know its coming.

    Just make sure you wet swab the bore before you reload. I saw a video recently where a guy left out that step and blew his hand off.
