These were Americans!

I have been meaning to put up something about these two men for awhile.You do know Blackhawk down was not just a big screen movie!? I am sure there were many heroes in the Battle of Mogadishu! But two that are forever etched in my memory are Master Sergeant Gary Gordon and Sergeant First class Randy Shughart. These two men under overwhelming odds requested to be dropped off to provide security and possibly save fellow soldier Mike Durant.

Gordy was a Sniper team leader.Randy was sniper team member. Can you imagine the guts it takes to be dropped off in an area surrounded by hostiles with no support coming? These are the kind of Americans I am glad I share a country with,Hell I am Honored to share it with! They could of left Durant there to die,no one would of thought any the worse of them! Hell it was not even expected of them. Thanks to their brave acts Mike Durant lived.

It wasn't just a movie brave men died trying to protect their fellow Americans!

    ...not surprisingly,i've had to explain to several folks,that the movie was based(loosely)on actual events...tell'em to read the book...the movie amalgamated several key individuals,severing the facts,to sensationalize the fiction for the "big screen"...lots went on that the movie,of course never concedes...
