If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”
- Winston Churchill

Bugging out.

A lot of people have a bug out plan. But have you really scoped out your evac route? If the major roads are impassable can you still get out?If you are using maps are they up to date?Better yet have you actually drove the routes?Do you have a plan in case vehicle bug out is impossible? Walking, bicycle, motorcycle, boats, aircraft for those with access and skill, could be options.

I would have to think depending on type of problems causing one to bug out many roads will be impassable.Back up routes to your back up routes would be a good idea.Do you have come alongs or other items to help move dead vehicles out of your way?Come alongs, tow straps or chains, etc?

Do you have a dedicated bag in case you must leave most of your stuff?Chose wisely and try out your equipment.Having to live for an extended period with only whats on your back could be rough at best.Even if you aren't a camper I would recommend camping as a test.If you didn't use it replace or remove items.

  1. This is a really good thing to bring up , China. Myself and most veterans whom had served in a combat capacity, have their bug out bag of sorts and that is the only bag we will have or need .

For the other vast majority , folks who have NOT served nor been under combat stress , this will come to be a difficult decision to make . "What to take and which bag to put it in ?" MOST of "us" have never lived out of a bag for any length of time at all before so , this is an exceptional exercise, not to be taken lightly .

Great way to get those melons smoking there China ;) If this doesn't make one think , nothing will .

By The Way, REV broke his back and is laid up for a few weeks so, he'll get in touch soon as possible .
