If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”
- Winston Churchill

  3. Hey there China, we are heading out and I wanted to stop by and give ya a shout out before we took off.

Things have been going GREAT so far ! We have had a huge attendance and everyone is ready to do what needs to be done. It has been a great time so far and I am looking forward to the rest of the trip.

Indy isn't on our travel list but, maybe we'll make it out that way, who knows . We are headed to Nevada today, for 3-4 days and then Utah, New Mexico and so on .

It's going very well China, the turn out has been enormous and we hope to have a great turn out in all states we go to .The more patriots the better and most are already trained, this is just a harsh refresher course.

Anyways, I need to get outta here so, you take care China, talk to you soon brother.

  5. Glad to hear your computer issues are over for now.

Off topic but a question for any and all - I'm thinking it will be difficult to carry my normal hip holster with a BoB if it ever comes to that. What do you think of the drop down holsters? A lot of folks think they're crap and that people only want them b/c the look "cool", but I'm not sure. Any advice would be appreciated.

  6. Tactical drop holsters, such as the "SAFARILAND RAPTOR" which is in use by U.S.M.C. Force Recon, are terrific. They give you much freer access to your sidearm then do standard hip holsters and the also fit better when you have your ruck on as the hip holster kind of gets in the way of your pack.

Look cool or not, they are functional and are in use by most military branches for a reason. A tactical drop holster will have a way to secure it to your thigh and will be adjustable to fit your reach.

This is a very good thing to bring up and once you use a good drop holster, you are going to fall in love with it . Don't go cheap or you'll get what you pay for. UTG makes a decent drop holster for a very cheap price (around $25 to $40) but, they wear out quickly when used a lot.

SAFARILAND is coming out with more fits for more models but, they are originally only for the M-9 beretta that the military uses. If you find one that fits your sidearm, it will cost you around $100-$180 but, it'll never wear out and will serve you well for decades. Well worth the price. Look around, middle of the road price will get you a very decent holster.

Here is a link to some "SPECTER" holsters that fit Colt 1911 , Glocks and others. I personally own a couple of these and can attest to their durability and value for the price.

  8. Send It,
Thanks, great advice. I have a CZ-75B which I haven't seen listed on any of the sites offering holsters for specific models, so I'll have to take it to see what it'll fit in well. There's a large gun show in my area in two weeks, and a holster is on the shopping list. I'll update you gents on what I find.
